I have today made a body mould side on, I didn't have time with the model to do a full body, so I decided to do half of the body side on, I have an existing head cast from two previous head moulds, I will cover it with cling film, then cover the cast in mod roc and make another head mould. I will attach the head mould to the body. and the head cast will go in a box much like the other head that is in a box with UV lighting. Here are photo's of the cast head and mod roc body.  The reason I want another head in mod roc is because of the weight, I have decided to keep the mould body and make a mould head as they can be supported on a background upright and the weight wont be an issue, If I make the cast this way, then I have to fund it and ensure that there are brackets in the back to carry the weight on a strong background, ( Very costly). so with the mod roc even though it will require a solid background, It won't have to be as strong and weighty as the mod roc is light, however I will have to make this piece blend without gaps into the back ground, I haven't got that far as yet so I will keep doing....

I filled the mod roc face and neck mould with plaster

used the same process for the back and neck of head

I joined the two sections together, with a gap and plastic pieces to hold the plaster in place, the plastic pieces where put into the head cast before it completely set, put mod roc around the outside to join the back and front of head together the cast I used in the centre was a glue cast I purchased, I wanted to be sure the casts remained intact.

This is the outcome for the head cast, this head will go in a white box the same as the head in the black box that I did previously, I haven't decided where to go from there as yet.

I wrapped the model in cling film with the intention of making the model look like she was wearing a long dress, we didn't have the time for a full body mould, I settled for a half body mould.

This is the foot mould.
I put the head cast above the body mould to see what the outcome could look like
The back view, you can see the hand is raised and supported by boxes until the mod roc is set.

The full view of the body mould with the temporary head cast which will be replaced with an attached head mould.
I have been planning to put a microphone in the hand to represent the singer, but at this stage I am unsure whether to use the microphone or cast a doll to look like a baby to represent mother and child.  I need to experiment further for the best outcome.
